My Current Beauty Regime

After the exciting months of Christmas time full of drunken nights, countless tins of roses and the bitter weather it was safe to say my poor skin had taken quite a beating. So along with all my other new years resolutions I vowed to get my skin right because hey, who doesn't want to look flawless?! So off I was on my quest for smooth, blemish-free skin.

After working closely with a line of products called Resultime and seeing how beneficial they could be I decided my new routine would be based around these products that I knew and trusted. Resultime products are based on a more clinical view of skin care and they contain ingredients like micro-collagen and micro-elastin. Their products penetrate deep into your skin making them more beneficial that most over the counter skin care products.

For the Cleansing and toning part of my regime I have kept it very cheap and cheerful using Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water and their Softening Toner. They do the job and are really nice to use aswell.

After I have cleansed and toned I use a product called Antiac Activ Liquid Spray. It is incredible at tackling breakouts over night but also works very well to help clear up constant problem areas over a longer period of time. I'm prone to breakouts on my chin and usually it doesn't matter what I do it always comes back but since January I have applied the spray to my chin using a cotton pad after my cleanse and tone and my chin has cleared up remarkably.

I then apply my Resultime Skin Perfecting Vitamin C Serum. You only need a very small amount as it spreads beautifully. It also soaks in instead of sitting on the skin which I love because I hate the feeling of oil on my face!! This product really is an all rounder. My problem with getting products was I had very dry patches in some areas and then oilier areas like my chin so it was very hard to keep a balance. This has helped to nourish my dry patches, keep the oilier areas balanced and gives my skin a lovely glow. It even helped reduce the redness in some scarring I had on my chin.

The last part of my regime is my Resultime Quartz and Vitamin C Microdermabrasion Scrub. Unlike the rest of my regime which I apply twice a day I use this once a week as an exfoliator. After I use it my skin is always so soft and it helps clear away any dead skin resting on the skin.

Well this is my regime ladies! If anyone would like more information on the products feel free to contact me on Facebook or Instagram..

Sosu Lashes and Limited Edition Lash Case

Hello lovelies! This week I'm going to do the long awaited review of the Sosu Lashes I picked up and her new limited edition lash case. I've been trying out these lashes for months now and if you follow me on Instagram i'm sure you'll know they've made a few appearances there. I was a little late to catch on to the Sosueme trend, I actually didn't even try out her lashes until she released her 'Primark Exclusive' range and even then I only bought one pair in case I didn't like them.  I've never been much of a false lash person for the simple fact that I could not apply them, I literally could NOT do it. I either ended up with the lash stuck pretty much everywhere it shouldn't have been or couldn't get them to stick at all. The only false lashes I could apply myself were the Primark individual lashes so when I bought a pair of her 'Belle' lashes from Primark I wasn't very hopeful but I still wanted to see what all the hype...

Self Love...

In light of it being World Mental Health Awareness Day (October 10th) I wanted touch on one subject in particular that I have been trying to teach myself in recent months: SELF LOVE! In the past few years I have personally struggled with depression and anxiety and in order to help myself cope I use various coping mechanisms that I have picked up during the years. Over time I worked out what made me feel better and what triggered my anxiety so I was more capable of handling a problem should it arise but I wasn’t always able to do this on my own. I picked up several coping mechanisms through mindfulness groups and counselling, if those services weren’t available to me it would have been a lot harder for me to understand what exactly was happening within myself. One thing that you will always hear about in relation to mental health awareness will be self love. Self love is a very important part of the process in making yourself feel better or more able to cope. This was a concept...

Skincare - The Acids

Hello Lovelies! This week my blogpost is going to be based around skincare. If you read my Skincare 101 blog a couple of months ago you will know that I talked about cosmeceutical products, more specifically the differences between them and normal cosmetics. Cosmeceuticals are basically a mix of cosmetic and pharmaceutical products. They often contain ‘active’ ingredients which can penetrate into the deep layers of the skin therefore they are more beneficial to your skin than normal cosmetics you may find in a pharmacy or supermarket. Among the long list of ‘active’ ingredients you may find in cosmeceuticals, the word acid may come up quite frequently. Cosmeceuticals can contain one or more acid at a time such as glycolic acid, lactic acid or azelaic acid and so on. These are all ‘active’ ingredients as they penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin and they all have different uses and benefits for different skin types. Products from brands such as Image Skincare, Nip and F...
