Non-Touring Look - Product List

Hey girlies.. I tried to film a tutorial for this look but due to lack of equipment and sadly my storage space it was challenging to say the least.. So I have the next best thing - A Product List!

Non- Touring is a new trend which is based around using only concealer and illuminating powder to highlight the points of your face which light naturally bounces off. It gives a more natural look than contouring and is more suited to day time or spring and summer looks.

I started by applying my Lancome La Base Pro Primer to my entire face to even out the surface of my skin and provide a silky smooth base for my foundation to glide over.

I then applied my foundation, MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation, all over using a MAC foundation brush. I then dampened my beauty blender with some Urban Decay Setting Spray and blended over the foundation to give it a more dewy look and more staying power.

I then dotted my concealer, MAC Mineralize Concealer, along my cheekbones, brow bones, cupids bow, along the bridge of my nose, the inner corners of my eyes and my chin. I then blended it using my dampened beauty blender and set my whole face with MAC Translucent Powder.

I then filled in my brows using Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade and used the MAC Cool Neutral Eyeshadow Palette to create my eye look. I used the shades 'cosy grey' , 'sun tweaked' and 'brun'. I also used the shade 'Iced Princess' from Morphe Cosmetics in the corner of my eye.

I used a gel eyeliner and mascara which are both from MAC Cosmetics aswell as my lipstick and lip liner which were 'Velvet Teddy' and 'Whirl'.

Then to finish I dusted illuminating powder along my nose, my cheekbones and my cupid bow and set it with Urban Decay Setting Spray and MAC Prep And Prime Fix+ .

As always if anyone has any questions feel free to contact me.

Sosu Lashes and Limited Edition Lash Case

Hello lovelies! This week I'm going to do the long awaited review of the Sosu Lashes I picked up and her new limited edition lash case. I've been trying out these lashes for months now and if you follow me on Instagram i'm sure you'll know they've made a few appearances there. I was a little late to catch on to the Sosueme trend, I actually didn't even try out her lashes until she released her 'Primark Exclusive' range and even then I only bought one pair in case I didn't like them.  I've never been much of a false lash person for the simple fact that I could not apply them, I literally could NOT do it. I either ended up with the lash stuck pretty much everywhere it shouldn't have been or couldn't get them to stick at all. The only false lashes I could apply myself were the Primark individual lashes so when I bought a pair of her 'Belle' lashes from Primark I wasn't very hopeful but I still wanted to see what all the hype...

Self Love...

In light of it being World Mental Health Awareness Day (October 10th) I wanted touch on one subject in particular that I have been trying to teach myself in recent months: SELF LOVE! In the past few years I have personally struggled with depression and anxiety and in order to help myself cope I use various coping mechanisms that I have picked up during the years. Over time I worked out what made me feel better and what triggered my anxiety so I was more capable of handling a problem should it arise but I wasn’t always able to do this on my own. I picked up several coping mechanisms through mindfulness groups and counselling, if those services weren’t available to me it would have been a lot harder for me to understand what exactly was happening within myself. One thing that you will always hear about in relation to mental health awareness will be self love. Self love is a very important part of the process in making yourself feel better or more able to cope. This was a concept...

Skincare - The Acids

Hello Lovelies! This week my blogpost is going to be based around skincare. If you read my Skincare 101 blog a couple of months ago you will know that I talked about cosmeceutical products, more specifically the differences between them and normal cosmetics. Cosmeceuticals are basically a mix of cosmetic and pharmaceutical products. They often contain ‘active’ ingredients which can penetrate into the deep layers of the skin therefore they are more beneficial to your skin than normal cosmetics you may find in a pharmacy or supermarket. Among the long list of ‘active’ ingredients you may find in cosmeceuticals, the word acid may come up quite frequently. Cosmeceuticals can contain one or more acid at a time such as glycolic acid, lactic acid or azelaic acid and so on. These are all ‘active’ ingredients as they penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin and they all have different uses and benefits for different skin types. Products from brands such as Image Skincare, Nip and F...
