My Brow Product Line Up

Hello lovelies! I’m back this week with my Brow Product Line Up! I just wanted to fill you in on all the brow products I own and use and what I like or dislike about them all. I did a blogpost similar to this a while back all about my foundation line up and people seemed to find it helpful so here I am again. I have attached pictures of all of the products below and makeup looks I have used them for so I hope you enjoy it! Here we go...

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade

This is my holy grail brow product! I have been using it for what seems like forever now and I honestly can’t fault it. If you’re someone who just recently started filling in your brows it may not be the best product for you as it does take some getting used to but apart from that I can’t think of anything negative about it! Once applied I find it lasts all day/night without budging and it just glides through your brow super easy which helps me achieve the shape I want. Also just because it’s a pomade doesn’t mean you can’t achieve a very natural looking brow with it, I just lighten up my touch and use less product on my brush to achieve a more natural look. The product does dry out somewhat overtime like most cream/gel products but this doesn’t bother me at all. I found the product being drier actually helped me to achieve a more natural look and then when I want a more sharp structured Brow I just mix a small amount of the product with some Duraline from Inglot and it’s good as new again! I find it very versatile because of this so it’s a winner for me! It retails for around €21 which I think is an excellent price as the product is beautiful and it also lasts ages so it’s definitely value for money! I have it in shade Chocolate which is a warm brown colour, I find it works really well with my hair colour and even when I lash it onto my brows for a really defined look it isn’t too dark for me. So for all of the above reasons, this is my absolute favourite brow product and I highly recommend it!

Mac Cosmetics Eyebrow Crayon

I have had this product for absolute yonks! It’s so old Mac have actually discontinued it but I’m sure their newer brow pencils are pretty much the same formula just with some updated packaging and shades. I’ve had it for so long because when I originally got it I didn’t use it for I’d say nearly a year or so as I just wasn’t really into brow pencils at the time but once I started using it I began to really like it! I would say it’s definitely more so for creating a natural brow look rather than a really defined structured brow like you can achieve with the Dipbrow Pomade but it is just so quick and easy. That was my main draw to the product, you don’t need any brushes to use it, you just pop of the lid and start filling in! I find it stays in place all day also once applied which for me is necessary! It also has a very fine tip making it really easy to draw brushstrokes through your brow, again helping to achieve a more natural look. This product also has lasted me ages since I began using it, there is definitely a very good amount of product held within the component unlike some twist up products like this which run out after two twists! The Mac brow pencils retail for around €20 also and come in a large range of shades so again I would recommend them and find them to be good value for money. They would also be a great product for a beginner as they are super easy to use!

Pixi Clear Brow Tamer

This product is very plain and simple but I think it’s a necessity within your brow product collection. It pretty much just helps to hold your brows in place but I love it! You can wear it with nothing else on your brows on makeup free days and it just helps to clean up your brows and hold them in place or you can use it over other brow products which is my favourite way to use it! Every single time I do my brows whether it’s with my Dipbrow Pomade or my Brow Pencil I use this afterwards, it just helps to separate my brow hairs, hold them in place and I find it helps with the Dipbrow especially to make my brows look “not as drawn on”. Sometimes with the Dipbrow because it’s a wax it can hold your brow hairs to your skin making your brows look kind of flat but this gel then helps to fluff up your brow hairs again making your brows look more realistic. It retails for around €15 which again I think is very good value as the product is long lasting. As you can see from my picture above my one is well loved, the writing is entirely worn off it even! You can also see however my one little problem with it, because  I mainly use it over other brow products it has become discoloured from dipping the stained spooly back into the tube and because the tube is clear this is visible so my one wish with this product is for the tube to not be clear as it can end up looking kind of dirty.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Tinted Brow Gel

Last but not least, this is the newest member of my brow collection. It pretty much does the exact same thing as the brow tamer except it is tinted so I find it really handy for when my brow tint has worn off as it just helps add some colour to my incredibly light brows! I also use it instead of the brow tamer with my Dipbrow Pomade for nights out just for some extra help to define my brows. This product also does a really good job at keeping your brow hairs in place. The spooly with it also has two different sides to help achieve the look you want! Once side has shorter, more dense bristles which I find perfect for covering denser areas of the brow and to dispense a good amount of tint to the brows. The other side then has longer, more sparse bristles which I find handy for sparser areas of the brow as it really helps grab any shorter hairs and tint them or if unlike me you have very thick brows this side would help create a more subtle tinted look for your brows than the dense side would! This product retails at around €25 which is a little pricey compared to the other products considering what it is but it definitely is a brilliant product regardless, long-lasting and it is by an amazing brand which is probably why where the price point is where it’s at. They come in 7 different shades so I’m sure you’ll find a shade to match your brows!

That’s all my thoughts for today! I hope you enjoyed this blogpost, let me know if you would like to see more like it! I’ll be back next week with my Primer Line Up but until then enjoy your weekend and take it easy!

All my love,

Sosu Lashes and Limited Edition Lash Case

Hello lovelies! This week I'm going to do the long awaited review of the Sosu Lashes I picked up and her new limited edition lash case. I've been trying out these lashes for months now and if you follow me on Instagram i'm sure you'll know they've made a few appearances there. I was a little late to catch on to the Sosueme trend, I actually didn't even try out her lashes until she released her 'Primark Exclusive' range and even then I only bought one pair in case I didn't like them.  I've never been much of a false lash person for the simple fact that I could not apply them, I literally could NOT do it. I either ended up with the lash stuck pretty much everywhere it shouldn't have been or couldn't get them to stick at all. The only false lashes I could apply myself were the Primark individual lashes so when I bought a pair of her 'Belle' lashes from Primark I wasn't very hopeful but I still wanted to see what all the hype...

Self Love...

In light of it being World Mental Health Awareness Day (October 10th) I wanted touch on one subject in particular that I have been trying to teach myself in recent months: SELF LOVE! In the past few years I have personally struggled with depression and anxiety and in order to help myself cope I use various coping mechanisms that I have picked up during the years. Over time I worked out what made me feel better and what triggered my anxiety so I was more capable of handling a problem should it arise but I wasn’t always able to do this on my own. I picked up several coping mechanisms through mindfulness groups and counselling, if those services weren’t available to me it would have been a lot harder for me to understand what exactly was happening within myself. One thing that you will always hear about in relation to mental health awareness will be self love. Self love is a very important part of the process in making yourself feel better or more able to cope. This was a concept...

Skincare - The Acids

Hello Lovelies! This week my blogpost is going to be based around skincare. If you read my Skincare 101 blog a couple of months ago you will know that I talked about cosmeceutical products, more specifically the differences between them and normal cosmetics. Cosmeceuticals are basically a mix of cosmetic and pharmaceutical products. They often contain ‘active’ ingredients which can penetrate into the deep layers of the skin therefore they are more beneficial to your skin than normal cosmetics you may find in a pharmacy or supermarket. Among the long list of ‘active’ ingredients you may find in cosmeceuticals, the word acid may come up quite frequently. Cosmeceuticals can contain one or more acid at a time such as glycolic acid, lactic acid or azelaic acid and so on. These are all ‘active’ ingredients as they penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin and they all have different uses and benefits for different skin types. Products from brands such as Image Skincare, Nip and F...
